We are looking for a highly passionate individual who believes that innovative prosthetic solutions can change a user's life. As a certified Prosthetist specialised in upper limb prosthetic fittings, your goal is to deliver state-of-the-art fittings and services to clinical partners and users of our cutting-edge assistive technology.

The Hero Arm is a powered multi-articulating and multi-grip prosthetic hand suitable for adults, adolescents and children. With ambitious growth plans, this role will enable you to grow your experience, skills and responsibilities along with the company.

Your role will be to strengthen the relationship between Open Bionics and clinical partners by supporting them with fittings and rehabilitation processes, as well as developing a bespoke clinical culture for the Hero Arm by designing training courses and supporting clinical aims.

Key responsibilities:

• Educating and certifying prosthetic care providers on the Hero Arm fitting process.

• Reviewing potential users’ eligibility to the Hero Arm and supporting trials with clinical partners when required.

• Coordinating clinical input to ease the adoption rate, prescription and funding application of the Hero Arm.

• Providing internal clinical input to Open Bionics developers on product development on both hardware and software products. Testing new versions or products considering the expected clinical benefits for both clinicians and users. Contributing to create and maintain documentation for clinicians and end-users.

• Active participation to relevant consumer or trade shows, exhibitions and conferences including supporting booth activities, workshops and communications.

• Contribution to clinical research projects/publications aiming to reinforce the clinical value and benefits of the solutions developed by Open Bionics.

• Taking an active role in research and development projects of new technologies that aid clinicians.

• Providing upper limb care to Hero Arm users.

A successful first six months at Open Bionics would include:

• Completion of research and development of a new clinical tool that aids clinicians and upper limb amputees.

Person Scorecard:

• Certified Prosthetist with 1-3 years minimum experience dealing with upper limb prosthetic fittings (including myoelectric/bionic hand fittings).

• Strong clinical practice with a demonstrable understanding of Open Bionics’ vision.

• Evidence of creative problem solving.
