Test item: The dynamic thermomechanical analyzer is used to determine the modulus (rigidity) and damping (energy loss) characteristics of the material under the action of periodically changing stress. These measurements can provide the relationship between material performance and time, temperature and frequency. It can measure glass transition temperature and secondary conversion, changes caused by processing, cold crystallization, solidification optimization, and the influence of fillers in composite materials.
Choice of fixtures: double/single cantilever fixtures (thermoplastic materials and high damping materials), film stretching fixtures (film and fiber), 3-point bending fixtures (improving modulus accuracy and repeatability).
